1. The cross-sectional shape of the aluminum solar panel frame is not regular

There are slots on the solar aluminum frame, which is convenient for installing the solar panels. The surface is silver-white with a matt effect, and some are black with a matt finish. The shape of the solar aluminum frame is extruded from an aluminum rod through a mold, and the surface effect is obtained by sandblasting and anodizing.

Generally, aluminum solar panels have to be exposed to the sun, rain, wind, snow and hail outdoors for many years. These harsh climates will also threaten solar power stations. Therefore, the quality requirements of the aluminum frame of solar panels are higher than that of general industrial aluminum profiles.

2. The production process of aluminum solar panel frame

(1) The selection of raw materials for solar aluminum frame is very strict

The content of each element must meet the following standards: Si0.38-0.42%, Mg0.53-0.57, Fe<0.18%, the content of other elements must be within the range specified by the country, and the purity of aluminum water must be high. And it is not possible to use recycled materials, that is, the anodized material cannot be re-melted to cast aluminum rods. In order to avoid small black spots and burrs or dust on the surface of the profile during extrusion, which will affect the surface quality of the profile. The surface of the profile will become black due to the unqualified mixed return material.

(2) The solar aluminum frame extrusion die also needs to be carefully polished

Particular attention should be paid to the decorative surface of the solar aluminum frame to avoid black lines and welding lines. The temperature and extrusion speed should also be strictly controlled during the extrusion process. Especially after the extrusion and quenching treatment, the artificial aging time is well controlled, which largely determines whether the hardness of the solar aluminum frame material reaches the standard. Generally, the hardness of aluminum profiles should reach 8HW or more, and aluminum solar panel frame profiles should reach 12HW.

(3) The surface treatment requirements of solar aluminum frame profiles are high

The sandblasting machine uses emery, the sand grains should be even, and the scratches should be prevented during the sandblasting process. After sandblasting, the surface of the aluminum profile has a matt effect, and then it is transferred to the oxidation workshop for surface anodization. The black frame material needs to be colored. The oxidation time should also be specially controlled to increase the thickness of the oxide film. The thickness of the oxide film of ordinary aluminum profile is generally 10μ, while the thickness of the oxide film of solar aluminum frame profile must reach 15μ.

The anodized material also needs to be pasted to protect the surface of the material from being scratched during processing. The frame material after the film can be transferred to the deep-processing workshop for sawing and cutting, punching, and riveting.

Each of the above processes must be strictly inspected, and unqualified products are not allowed to flow into the next process. From this point of view, the production of solar photovoltaic modules is also very complicated and strict.
